Matured in French oak for 18 months. Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant laced with bay leaf are followed by cedary tobacco and spicy dried herb notes. Full in body the palate is stacked with rich blackcurrant fruit which overlays a back drop of cedary tobacco characters, infusions of bay leaf and spice. Sturdy tannins provide some grip on the long spicy blackcurrant and tobacco tinged finish.
